They have two different stories to tell. Eve Kelly, coming back from a stroke says ‘my right hand doesn’t work too well, but I can still paint! It’s good therapy and I intend to keep swinging my brush’. Janet Leckie has lovingly repurposed vintage doilies and enhanced this beautiful work rescued from bottom drawers, linen closets and op shops. The juxtaposition of these two styles serves to emphasize the skill of each artist.

Queenscliffe Neighbourhood House acknowledging the Wadawurrung people of the Kulin nations, the Traditional Owners of the land on which we are gathered today. We pay our respects to the local People and all Aboriginal and Torres Straight Island Peoples for allowing us to gather on their land and to their Elders: past, present and emerging. This land was never ceded. |
