To wrap up another successful year of back-to-back exhibitions at the Queenscliff Neighbourhood House, Meaningful, to be opened on Saturday 9 December, showcases new works from five artists on the QNH Gallery Committee.

According to Jocelyn Adam, Chair of the House Gallery: ‘the QNH is such a vibrant place during term times, and rather than lose momentum and close in the lead up to Christmas and during the summer holidays, we have mounted our own work so that visitors get an insight into some of the House Gallery’s substantial offerings’.

Between us we are exhibiting an eclectic array of artwork to tempt you for Christmas shopping or as a memento of holidays on the Bellarine Peninsula.  Each of the works are influenced by the title of this exhibition. They are meaningful to the artist and hopefully meaningful to visitors to this quintessentially local seaside Neighbourhood gallery. Do come by and have a look’.

The five artists include:

Jocelyn Adam– is a well known local painter who works mainly in oil creating ethereal landscapes, seascapes and still life paintings.

Anita Armytage – is an enthusiastic artist and teacher who produces vibrant collages with great skill and ingenuity.

Janet Leckie - a textile artist, reflects upon growing up on a Soldier Settlement block in Western Victoria and has produced a collection of stitched images of that era.

Julie Morgan – enjoys exploring the versatility and fluidity of watercolour through the depiction of everyday objects, still life and landscapes.

Tracy Watt - captures the natural environment and disappearing history of Point Lonsdale with evocative pencil drawings and watercolour.

Meaningful: The Exhibition  -  Queenscliff Neighbourhood House Gallery, 3 Tobin Drive Queenscliff

Queenscliffe Neighbourhood House acknowledging the Wadawurrung people of the Kulin nations, the Traditional Owners of the land on which we are gathered today. We pay our respects to the local People and all Aboriginal and Torres Straight Island Peoples for allowing us to gather on their land and to their Elders: past, present and emerging. This land was never ceded.
