The Queenscliff Life Drawing Group
This tutored, life drawing class is suitable for both beginners and those who have had extensive practice in life drawing.
The course will begin with a review of proportion, measurement and how to observe body alignment. The importance of identifying muscles and bones and how they work together will be stressed throughout the course as well as viewing the gesture and pose of the model as a vehicle for concept and expression.
The tutor for the course is Dr Heather Stewart who has been a practising artist and teacher of art for many years and has a special interest in the human body.
Suggested basic material list:
•large sheets of drawing paper (‘butchers’ paper, brown paper Ok),
•charcoal, pencils 2B, 4B, erasers.
