CREATIVE ARTS

Intro to Nature Journaling

Are you curious about creatures, fond of natural forms? Starting a nature journal is a way of collecting and building a unique story of your relationship with this wonderful world we live in.
Nature journaling encourages us to take time in nature—to look more closely, foster observation skills, let curiosity lead us into new learning, and open our senses. It helps us respond creatively and authentically through words and art.
Materials: Please bring a small selection of drawing materials you prefer, such as:
Lead pencils (soft - HB to 6B) or a mechanical pencil, colour pencils, watercolour pencils, fine liner pens (plus sharpener and eraser).
Several sheets of sketch paper 140gsm.
Note: We will discuss journal types in the first session. If you already have a preferred one, bring it along. If using watercolours, cotton 300gsm paper is recommended.
13th October - 3rd November
