Welcome to our Term 4 Program! We are very much looking forward to the lifting of some Covid-19 restrictions that will enable us to run classes on site.
We also hope that some of our Interest Groups will be able to return to meeting together at the Neighbourhood House. Some of these groups have been able to remain connected through on-line get togethers such as Zoom.
Go to the 'Online' section of our website to join these groups that are currently meeting via Zoom: [password required]
Writers Group, Tuesdays fortnightly from10am
Mens Discussion Group Thursdays, 2pm to 4pm
Tides of Welcome, Thursdays from 7:15pm
Shedding the Blues Tuesdays, 10.30am
Shedding the Blues is an innovative and growing project assisting mature age men from across the Bellarine Peninsula (and beyond) to connect through a shared love of music. After a successful project launch at the Queenscliff RSL in February, the group has made terrific use of the QNH Zoom Room to stay connected throughout Covid-19 lockdowns.
Participants, regardless of their musical expertise, meet online every Tuesday morning to play music together or yarn about of musical experiences, interests and even talents. Open to all genders, the group’s focus is on the health and wellbeing of men who are nearing or have reached retirement age. For more information, contact: Des Gorman on 0407 546 391 email@example.com
The Tides of Welcome Choir have been singing each Thursday evening via Zoom. Whilst harmonies have been a challenge, they have enjoyed “seeing” each other and learning new songs under the direction of their Choir Director, Wayne Jury.
Other groups have stayed in touch with each other through regular phone calls and promises of a cup of tea or a walk in the park in the near future.
We hope you are all managing to keep afloat during these unusual times and know that you will be able to reconnect with your communities in a more fulfilling way very soon.
Covid Safe arrangements will be in place when we do reopen and we will be following all Government guidelines and directions.
Please note that all QNH classes are subject to sufficient enrolments. Waiting lists apply in some instances.
Please make sure you let us know if you would like to be put on the Waiting List for a class if current capacity has been filled. You can do this via each class’s Trybooking link.
Refunds will be provided for all classes that don’t go ahead. Face to Face classes will revert to being delivered by Zoom if restrictions are not lifted, with refunds available for the difference in class fees.
