Six artists in July showcase their landscapes, seascapes, botanical art, still life and sculpture at Interpretations. The group includes: Prue Plowman, Dee Clements, Bron Daddo, Bridget Gubbins, Angela Langley and Lou Stinson.

Collage Decoupage Assemblage Exhibition at Queenscliff Neighbourhood House Gallery in June31/5/2022 Local Bellarine artists are taking to the art of collage with vigour just as cubist artists Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque did with their cutting-edge assemblages in the early 20th century. The Collage, Decoupage, Assemblage exhibition at the Queenscliff Neighbourhood House Gallery from 4-27 June will showcase an expansive display of Collage alongside Decoupage. The exhibition will include works by Tracy Watt, Julie Morgan, Julie Fitzpatrick, Bronwyn Minifie, Liz Butcher, Brodie Wood and Anita Armytage who will also conduct a half day Collage Workshop on 11 June for all levels of experience. Sue Trethowan Jones who loves cutting and pasting papers onto eclectic objects such as vases, jewellery, tables and drawers will exhibit her craft of Decoupage. According to Anita Armytage, whose first collage was of the cattle grazing on the road from Point Lonsdale to Ocean Grove, ‘The Belted Galloways were the reason I started Collaging. When I saw the results, I was hooked. That was about ten years and I still get excited about it’. The Collage, Decoupage, Assemblage Exhibition and the Collage Workshopwill be held at the Queenscliffe Neighbourhood House at 3 Tobin Drive, Queenscliff. 4-26 June.
Collage with Anita Armitage Collage describes both the technique and the resulting work of art in which pieces of paper, photographs, fabric and other materials are arranged and stuck down onto a supporting surface. This workshop is suitable for all levels and beginners are very welcome. The exhibition continues for the month of May to tie in with the Queenscliffe Literary Festival. All welcome SHIFTING SANDS: the Illustrators Page exhibition Queenscliffe Neighbourhood House Galley (QNHG) in collaboration with the Queenscliffe Literary Festival (QLF) have mounted an exhibition called Shifting Sands: The Illustrators Page which incorporates artists, illustrators and writer’s interpretation and response to the QLF theme Shifting Sands from 7-29 May 2022. A montage of children’s picture books illustrated by local artists including John Hughson, Dougal Ramsay, Tracy Watt, Linda Gallus and Tim O’Brien complement the short stories and poems contributed by members of the Rip Writer’s group.  Paint and Thread Abstract painter Eve Kelly, and textile artist Janet Leckie who has repurposed doilies, are exhibiting their works at the Queenscliffe Neighbourhood House Art Gallery 4-30 April. The juxtaposition of these two styles serves to emphasize the skill of each artist. “Paint and Thread” Exhibition at QNH House Gallery 4 – 30 April 2022 Abstract painter Eve Kelly, and textile artist Janet Leckie, are exhibiting their works at the Queenscliffe Neighbourhood House Art Gallery this month. They have two different stories to tell. Eve Kelly, coming back from a stroke says ‘my right hand doesn’t work too well, but I can still paint! It’s good therapy and I intend to keep swinging my brush’. Janet Leckie has lovingly repurposed vintage doilies and enhanced this beautiful work rescued from bottom drawers, linen closets and op shops. The juxtaposition of these two styles serves to emphasize the skill of each artist.      Belonging In support of 2022 Geelong Design Week (GDW) Queenscliffe Neighbourhood House (QNH) will mount an exhibition entitled Belonging comprising 45 works at the House Gallery from 5-27 March 2022 extending GDW’s ‘open studio’ two weekend timetable of 19-20 and 26-27 March. Some 20 artists from the Bellarine ranging in age from 13 to 80’s, will showcase their work including woodwork, painting, hand dyed fabrics, printmaking and more.
